Waiting is something that we do always as it’s part of every human activity regardless of status in life.
We wait every day for people and events. We wait for our friends, family, church, and community on whatever matter.
Even the fastest software or technology gadgets have a waiting time.
Nobody and nothing is ever fast enough so as not to wait.
Yes, waiting is common to all of us but how about “patience” or as our verse says, “wait patiently for Him.”
Do we often find ourselves waiting patiently for Him? Really?
Do we really wait on the basis of God’s context and term of waiting patiently with the deep understanding that the Lord God will provide and deliver as He promised?
Or do we wait with our human threshold of patience and acting or reacting on impulse and impatience because it seems God wasn’t listening.
We are supposed to wait patiently for Him. Not only that, we have to be still in the LORD.
Could “stillness” mean being relaxed?
Have you experienced being in a frantic situation, maybe in a crowd, or with your family and loved once, everyone seemed to be almost at a stage of bursting into panic or pandemonium.
Then all of a sudden you heard somebody in a loud authoritative voice saying, “Hey, Come on people, Relax! Stay Calm!”
That’s exactly how I felt upon reading Psalm 37:7 as I think and pray for the challenges that I’m facing.
“Be still in the LORD and wait patiently for Him.”
(Psalm 37:7)
My faith-wisdom discoveries teach me to be calm and wait for Him because His option is the best and He wants it for my fulfilment and joy.
So, are you tired of waiting and you’re praying for more patience as you wait?
Well, be still in the LORD and wait patiently for Him.
