My Baptist Registration Certificate 2023 and What It Entails

I am happy to receive my Baptist Registration Certificate for 2023 today. I’m in my second year as a Provisionally Registered Pastoral Registrant of the Baptist Union of New Zealand.

I can apply for Full Registration status after I complete my Registration Development Agreement in 2023.

I value the NZ Baptist Union for perpetuating the Baptist Registration program because it ensures that those who minister in or on behalf of the Baptist Union of New Zealand do so in response to the call of the Holy Spirit and actively seek to maintain their:

  • own holistic well-being
  • personal, relational and professional integrity and accountability
  • ongoing growth and learning
  • organisational safety
  • an ongoing connection with the wider Baptist movement/whānau

What the Baptist Registration entails

My Registration Development Agreement details what it means to be a pastor duly registered with the NZ Baptist Union.

In 2023, I must fulfil what I am required to and have committed to do in three areas,

  1. Personal growth and learning
  2. Baptist Whānau (family) and
  3. External Supervision Support

My personal growth and learning

personal growth and learning

My Baptist whānau (family) engagement

My external supervision support

I will meet with an experienced Baptist leader or pastor at least six times for my accountability commitment in 2023.

I am thankful for the Lord’s provisions to go through the Baptist Registration process and gain learning and mentoring for my pastoral practice here in New Zealand.
