Here in NZ the COVID Pandemic has had its challenges, but our communities have made sure everyone is housed, and everyone has something to eat.
Creekside Baptist Church, Iloilo in the Philippines is a church in an informal housing settlement. Due to the COVID pandemic, people are locked in, can’t work, have no financial reserves, are running out of money to buy food (which is also expensive at this time of year).
The gift from Hopevale Trust was given to Creekside Baptist Church with no conditions or instructions, just to use as they thought best.
The fact that Creekside Baptist Church chose to use the gift to buy food speaks to the very basic needs of the people there at this time.
Please consider if you are able to give to causes like this, and contact me for an account number if you would like to help.
I am pleased for Hopevale Trust to send more support to communities in the Philippines.
Please note that NZ Government Tax Rebates are not available for this type of giving.
