When Fresh-From-The-Farm Milk Have a Bitter Taste?

I Went To The Dairy Farm

I went to the dairy farm today
to discover why fresh milk is so delicious;

I talked to the owner, who told me about,
the care they gave to the milking cows,
the state-of-the-art equipment they use,
to keep the milk pure, clean and delicious;

I had the chance to meet the dairy farm worker,
who shared with me the dairy farm joys and chores,
how he carried seven to 15 newborns a day,
test and train hundreds of heifers,
round up the cattle, feed, breed, and milk.

Then I learned from the dairy farm today,
the things that could give fresh milk a bitter taste;

When owners put the welfare of their cattle above their workers,
no rest day, hurried breaks, cursing, swearing,

I went to the dairy farm today
and learned about the emotional and physical hurt
dairy farm workers go through,
So milk and profit in abundance would flow;

Let us come to the dairy farm today
to bless the owner and the worker;
to bring the Good News of a land flowing with milk and honey;
where we are drinking happily in God’s glory.
